Tex cars chauffeur hire

Tex cars started way back in 1930 as Taxi company which was run as a subsidiary to TRINDERS Funeral Parlour. In those days only Rolls Royce's were used but you could have any colour - as long as it was black!

Under Trinders guidance the business flourished until around 1960 when it was sold and renamed tex cars. This was to avoid any confusion as Trinders were to carry on in the original Funeral business.

Tex cars then went through a succession of owners until 1989 when it was purchased by the current owners as a Private Hire firm.

The early 1990's were difficult times for all businesses but the private hire and taxi sector suffered very badly in this recession. The company had to reduce in size to survive but, survive it did. During this time the business changed from a company with offices in the town centre to a contract only chauffeur hire firm running from out of town premises. This approach has paid dividends and today it is a flourishing chauffeur hire and PCV operator.
